🎶 Cardi B Shuts Down Riverdale: Am I The Drama Album Signing Chaos

Monday | October 22, 2025 wasn’t just about the Ruth & Boaz Netflix ATL Premiere — Atlanta was LIT from every angle.  Cardi B herself pulled up to DBS Sound in Riverdale, GA for her in-store album signing of ‘Am I The Drama,’ and let me tell you…This was a whole adventure.

I flew in to cover the Netflix premiere, but when I heard Cardi was hosting her signing nearby, I had to make it happen.  I copped the album online for the pass, grabbed a quick shower at the hotel and headed straight to Riverdale.  The signing was scheduled for 1 PM…so I thought I was early pulling up before noon.  WRONG!

🚨 The scene was already wild.

Parking? Nonexistent.

Crowd? Wrapped around the block and circling around in the parking lot.

Police, Fire and EMTs?  On standby trying to keep order in 100 degree ATL heat.

Even the hotel clerk side-eyed me when I mentioned Riverdale: “Why would she be having it there? That’s the hood.” And honestly?  He wasn’t lying.

I managed to maneuver my way into a better spot in line (More on that trick during the TCS episode 👀). But here’s the kicker — I waited a full 4 hours in the Georgia sun and still no Cardi while others who traveled from FL, Detroit and a far arrived as early as 9a with chairs, umbrellas and hookah preparing for the wait.  By the time I had to dip for the Netflix red carpet, she hadn’t arrived.  Word was she didn’t show until 7 PM — Six hours after the official start time.

Still…The vibes were pure Cardi: chaotic, loud and unforgettable. The crowd was hyped, fans were dripped out in their best “Bardi Gang” fits and even though I didn’t catch her in person, the experience itself was one for the books.

This day had it all — A premiere, a signing and a whole lot of culture in between.  & TRUST…I’ve got the full play-by-play coming on the next The Culture Spiel Episode. 🎤
